Andy DeLay was born March 23, 1966 in St. Petersburg Florida. Andy grew up in the Tampa Bay area and graduated in 1984 from Dunedin Sr. High. After high school Andy joined the United States Marine Corps where he served until 1988 leaving service with an honorable discharge.
After the Marines he attended the Police Academy at the Southeastern Public Safety Institute. Andy worked for several Tampa Bay area police agencies, spending most of his tenure with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff. Andy retired after 17 years of police service.
In retirement he moved to London Kentucky with his wife Laura and his son Buster.
Andy is a familiar personality in the London Kentucky radio market with Burning Rubber airing on Bandit 101.9 FM. Andy and Burning Rubber have covered the ARCA Series, doing their pre-race shows on ARCA Nation, and the Walls Roofing UCAR Clash Series live.
